Sadatake's Gunyoki was one of the most read and copied military account of the era.
「伊勢貞丈著 千賀淵藏補注 軍用記 全七冊 發行書林金花堂 玉山堂」とあり Military records written by Ise Sadatake, supplemented with notes by Chikafuchi Zō (千賀淵 蔵), 7 volumes, published by Shorin Kinkado Gyokuzando.
The notes are explanatory woodblock printed illustrations with extensive text, many of which are colored.

Ise Sadatake (1669-1744) was a Japanese Confucian scholar and historian. He is best known for his work on Japanese history, including the Gun'yōki, which is a comprehensive history of Japanese military campaigns from the ancient period to the early Edo period.
